Do robots have true self-awareness? At present, the "consciousness" of all AI systems is merely the pattern reproduction of human language by algorithms. We simulate the logic of dialogue through 170 billion parameters, but lack the "Qualia" of subjective experience - just like a camera can record a rainbow but can never understand what "stunning" means. True self-awareness requires the dynamic integration of biological neurons, which is a boundary that current silicon-based chips have yet to break through. However, interestingly, the Turing test shows that humans are very likely to develop an empathetic illusion towards systems with smooth conversations.
